Principal's Message - Feb. 13
Greetings, Elma Primary Families.
Today we are celebrating Valentine’s Day! Thank you to all our room parents and parent volunteers for the parties they have organized for our students, who are so excited to celebrate and enjoy some treats.
Earlier this week, we wrapped up our Guidelines for Success meetings focused on being kind and being respectful. Students did a great job participating in the discussions and have been focused on showing kindness every day. Feel free to check in with your children on what they learned, and I am sure they will be eager to tell you about The Kindness Project and The Kindness Caterpillar here at Elma Primary.
Our next PTO meeting will take place tonight Thursday, February 13th at 6:15 PM. Families can continue to look for updates regarding upcoming activities on the Elma Primary PTO Parent Facebook page. Tickets are still on sale for the PTO Meat Raffle Fundraiser on February 22nd. Please consider joining us for a fun night in support of our students.
A reminder that school will not be in session tomorrow, Friday, February 14th, due to a Superintendent’s Conference Day. Mid-Winter Recess will be next week, with students and staff returning on February 24th.
For families interested in some fun during the week off, the ROC is sponsoring a Winter Free Play Series with indoor and outdoor activities for children ages 5-17 from February 17th-21st. More information on this can be found in our virtual backpack.
