Greetings, Elma Primary Families.
Thank you to all who joined us for our PTO meeting this past Thursday. At the meeting, we discussed the upcoming Meat Raffle Fundraiser (February 22) and began planning for some fun events this winter and spring. Information on the event and how to purchase tickets will be available next week. Keep an eye on the Elma Primary PTO Parents Facebook page for updates and information.
At our PTO meeting, we also welcomed Julia Sroka, Director of the Iroquois Family Support Center, for a brief presentation. She shared the focus of the Support Center’s work, as well as the various supports and services that can be accessed by families. Please visit the Family Support Center page on our website for details or reach out to Mrs. Aroune, our school counselor, if you have questions or need assistance.
One such support available to families and caregivers is offered through Parent Network of WNY, which can be accessed through the link: https://parentnetworkwny.org/family-and-caregiver-support/ . In our virtual backpack, there is also a flyer with information regarding support sessions for families of students with learning differences for anyone interested.
Finally, a reminder that school will not be in session on Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. There will also be no school on Wednesday, January 29th in observance of the Lunar New Year.
