Principal's Message - June 13th
Greetings, Elma Primary Families.
Thank you to all who joined us for our Kindergarten End-of-Year celebration this week. Our students did an amazing job showcasing all they learned this year. Thank you to our Kindergarten team and Mrs. Szablewski for all they did to prepare the students for this day, and for assembling the beautiful slideshow.
Our Student Government wrapped up our fundraising sale early this week. They sold out of items on Wednesday, but not before we raised over $500 for the PUNT Foundation. Great job, student leaders, and thank you to all of our families and students who contributed to this worthwhile cause.
Today we celebrated Flag Day at Elma Primary. Our 2nd and 3rd grade students performed some patriotic tunes and taught our younger students about the flag and all it stands for. Thanks, again, to Mrs. Szablewski for organizing this. 2nd and 3rd grade students, you were fantastic!
We are looking forward to Field Day on Wednesday, June 18th. A message will be sent out next week with more details and reminders about the day.
A reminder that school will not be in session on Thursday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.
Finally, on Friday, June 20th at 1:00 PM, we will host our 3rd Grade Moving Up Ceremony at the Iroquois Middle School Auditorium. Doors will open at 12:30. Parking will be available in the main middle school lot and at the Boys and Girls Club across the street. For Boys and Girls Club parking, please avoid using the spots that are designated for staff only. We look forward to celebrating our 3rd graders as they head onto Iroquois Intermediate.
Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support. Have a great weekend!
