Principal's Message - June 6th
Greetings, Elma Primary Families.
This was a very exciting week for all of us at Elma Primary. On Wednesday, we were able to surprise students and staff with a visit from the Buffalo Bills as part of their Community Takeover. Our 3rd grade students were in awe as Taron Johnson, KJ Hamler, Alec Anderson, Jake Camarda, Ja’Marcus Ingram, and Stephen Gosnell joined them for some gaga ball and special training camp activities on the back field. All of our students and staff had the opportunity to meet and interact with the players during a parade through the building. Special thanks to the Bills organization for selecting Elma Primary for the visit, and thank you to Mrs. Jacobs, Ms. Lisitsky, Mrs. Sonricker for being part of our secret planning team who worked together for weeks to make this happen! For a video from the Buffalo Bills that shares more about the day and features some clips from Elma Primary, visit the link: https://www.facebook.com/BuffaloBills/videos/buffalo-bills-community-takeover/1601678360502335/ .
Next week, our Student Government will be sponsoring a sale during lunches with all proceeds benefiting the PUNT Foundation, which partners with the Buffalo Bills to provide support for families dealing with pediatric cancer. Students and families interested in supporting the cause will be able to purchase small items (Smencils, keychains, miniature animals) for $1.
We are looking forward to welcoming families for our end-of-year Kindergarten performance at 1:15 PM on Wednesday, June 11th. Our students have been hard at work preparing for this special day to celebrate how much they’ve grown this year. Doors will open at 1:00.
For parents of 3rd grade students, Iroquois Intermediate is seeking parent feedback to learn more about your child and make thoughtful and informed decisions about class placements for next year. The deadline to submit information has been extended. Please take a moment to complete the form linked below by the end of the day if you have not already done so.
Finally, a reminder that today will be an early release day. Students who are being picked up will be released beginning at 11:35 AM and buses will depart at noon.
Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support. Have a great weekend!
