Principal's Message - May 30th

This week, our students and staff powered through some soggy weather for our rescheduled Spring Clean Up Day.  Students showed great teamwork in beautifying the front gardens, they got to meet and learn from a real-life beekeeper, and they had fun making sidewalk chalk art and Bills-themed art in the gym.  Thank you to Ms. Lisitsky, Mrs. Sonricker and our special area teachers for making this day happen for our students.  Students, thank you for your hard work – the school looks great!

Today is our 3rd grade picnic.  Thank you to the Elma Primary PTO for taking the lead on organizing the event this year.  Throughout the day, students will be involved in fun activities, a picnic lunch, and have the opportunity to meet their future Iroquois Intermediate classmates from Wales and Marilla.

For parents of 3rd grade students, Iroquois Intermediate is seeking parent feedback to learn more about your child and make thoughtful and informed decisions about class placements for next year.  Please take a moment to complete the form linked below by the end of the day today (May 30th) if you have not already done so.

Next week, our PE team will be hosting “Bills Training Camp” during PE classes.  Students will participate in a variety of football and Bills themed activities on the back field.  All are encouraged to wear their Bills gear or red, white, and blue on Wednesday, June 4th.  Our goal is to send a message to the Buffalo Bills that Elma Primary has the biggest and best Bills fans in WNY!

Finally, a reminder that next Friday, June 6th will be an early release day.  Students who are being picked up will be dismissed beginning at 11:35 AM and buses will depart at noon.  If there are any changes to your child’s normal pick-up or dismissal routine, please send a note.

Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support.  Have a great weekend!
